August 22, 2026: around 40 people broke through the perimeter fence at the Sintiki detention facility in Serres, the second such incident in under a year.
a letter attributed to roughly 300 detainees describes 13 – 14 months in detention, overcrowding, poor sanitation, and psychological exhaustion, echoing earlier findings, in contradiction to Greek laws. HuP is calling on the State to act.
our 3 demands:
independent oversight of Sintiki's living conditions.
transparency data on numbers held and duration.
clarity on funding and services.
Humanity Pact at the 27th Antiracist Festival
we showed up at the Antiracist Festival as an NGO for the first time , not just a friend group with strong opinions and left with zero stickers and a full heart!
festivals like this aren't just nice to have. they're where community actually gets built, one conversation at a time.
in such harsh times, it was a needed reminder of exactly why spaces like this need to exist. grateful to have been part of it. see you next year ✊
27th Antiracist Festival 2026
this one hits different!
we've been attending the Athens Antiracist Festival for years as individuals.
this July, we'll be there as Humanity Pact and we're still processing how big that feels!
come find us at the 27th Antiracist Festival, July 3–5 at Parko Goudi.
let's connect, let's talk, let's meet!
there is no road to peace.
peace is the road.
HuP x Kypseli Mundial 2026
Kypseli Mundial is a festival you don't want to miss. Finals day was fire!
loud, fun and full of people who live for the game and the connection.
we need more of this.
this is what community looks and feels like.
SAMS Hellas and Women Forward, we surely make a good team as well.
maybe not as good as the Nigerian Community's football team though .
Congratulations Nigerian Community for the cup!
HuP x CCAR & AUB
there's something truly special about meeting people who share your vision for a better world.
we had a wonderful meeting with Comissió Catalana d’Acció pel Refugi and the Autonomous University of Barcelona, hosted at the Ivorian Community's offices in Athens.
we had the chance to share our knowledge on the asylum process in Greece — exactly the kind of exchange that reminds us why we do what we do.
Fins aviat! 🧡
it's alive!!!
